DESCRIPTION
Rise of the Realm is a turn-based 4X strategy and management game where players must manage a civilization, help it prosper, and survive against a destructive corruption.
INITIAL OBJECTIVES
- Offer a strategic experience
- Based on the indirect control of the civilization
- Planning and anticipation at the heart of gameplay
- Concept of resource management and exploration
- A corruption working against the player

MY MISSIONS
- Project management and progress tracking (retro-planning, Jira, Miro, and Confluence)
- Leading the design team: tasks to be completed, projections, organization, etc.
- Designing the 3Cs and player interactions
- Individually creating the Proof of Concept, testing the first gameplay mechanics and the propagation of corruption
- Creating game interfaces (Illustrator) and UI/UX mockups
- Integrating all widgets and interfaces into the game, as well as the logic between them (main menu, settings, loading screen, radial menu, encyclopedia, etc.)
- Implementing the logic of villagers in the Behavior Tree (patrolling, animation logic, and movement on assigned tiles, etc.)

POST MORTEM
At the end of this student project, I wrote a post-mortem to list everything I learned as a project manager and lead designer throughout the game's development.
