THE PROJECT
The objective was to design a quest system that seamlessly integrates into the universe of Cyberpunk 2077 and is linked to the existing story. We took on the challenge of creating a quest with three distinct entries, each originating from different characters. This exercise, in a universe as rich in narrative and quests as Cyberpunk 2077, was an excellent way to challenge ourselves.
MY PROCESS
Here are the steps that helped me build this document:
- • In-depth research on the Cyberpunk universe, main characters, different types of available quests, and relationships between clans.
- • Analysis of gameplay mechanics, quest and reward systems, as well as both macro and micro Level Design.
- • Reference study on games with three-entry quest systems (such as Fallout New Vegas, etc.).
- • Creation of a space to compile all research (MIRO).
- • Development of the overall structure of our quest on draw.io.
- • In-game scouting to identify an ideal location for integrating our quest.
- • Details of the quest for each entry and creation of the Level Design for the location.
- • Drafting the design document.
